Questions people ask us
If your question is not here, email stokitrack@gmail.com and a person will answer. Tutakujibu haraka.
Do I need internet all the time?
No. StokiTrack keeps working when the network drops. You can carry on selling and the sales are saved on your phone. When the signal comes back they sync by themselves, and nothing is counted twice. Hakuna network? Hakuna shida.
Naweza lipa na M-Pesa? (Can I pay with M-Pesa?)
Yes. Choose your plan and we send an STK prompt to your phone, and you just enter your M-Pesa PIN. No card, no bank visit. You get 30 days free first, and you do not need to pay anything to start.
Is it hard to learn? My clerk is not good with computers.
The selling screen is built for a phone: you tap the product, tap again for two, and press one green button to finish. Most clerks are comfortable within a day. Buttons are large, the words are simple, and there is Swahili where it helps.
What is Stoki?
Stoki is the assistant built into StokiTrack. Ask it things like 'what should I restock this week?' or 'which product makes me the most profit?' and it answers from your own sales and stock, never from a guess. It will also tell you which goods are just sitting there tying up your money.
Can I see what my employees are doing?
Yes. Staff clock in and out in the app, so you can see who was on shift and for how long, and every sale and stock change records who did it. If stock goes missing you can see exactly when the numbers changed.
Je, mnaweza kufanya kazi na eTIMS ya KRA? (Does it work with KRA eTIMS?)
eTIMS e-invoicing is on the roadmap and the system is already built to carry your KRA PIN and invoice details. Since January 2026 KRA's validation engine disallows expenses without compliant invoices, so if you are VAT-registered, talk to us about timing before you sign up.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Your records stay yours. If a subscription lapses, your data is kept and you can export it or start again by paying. We never sell your business information to anyone.
Can I use it for more than one shop?
Yes. Jumla includes three branches, and you can add more to either Jumla or Biashara for KES 800 a month each. Every branch keeps its own stock levels while you see the whole business together.
